Well, I realized I am overdue for an update on both kids, but especially our little Eli! I realized this yesterday morning when I was lying in bed with him and I started counting! He immediately jumped in and finished all the way up to ten! Since then, we've been trying to get him to count to ten on his own and he's been doing it great! I think the last time I blogged about Eli talking, he was just starting to repeat words! Well, today, he is not only repeating EVERYTHING he hears, but he is also starting to put words together and talk in sentences! Tonight he told me his "tummy hurt" and that he got an "owie on his knee". When he wants to be carried he says "carry you", as I am always asking him, "do you want me to carry you"? Other phrases/words we hear often are....requests for "up - n - down" from his dad, "Bailey", "hi Emrey" "okay mommy" and of course "NO"...
He is ALL boy and can usually be found covered in dirt from head to toe!
He loves to chase after Bailey and pull on her ears. Bailey is very patient with him and lets him get away with a lot! He also loves to hide out under the trees in our backyard with Emrey. She has named the area the "changing tree" (not sure why) but they both go running back there and play hide and seek! He says Emrey is his "best buddy" and loves to wrestle her to the ground...even if she doesn't enjoy it quite as much!
