This week we got together with a new friend who lives down the street. Josiah is two months older than Emrey. As you can see, they had a great time together and it was very cute, Josiah kept trying to hold Emrey's hand! It will be fun to see them grow together and hopefully be buddies. I am adjusting to life at home and really can't say that I miss work all that much. Some days are better than others, but overall, I love being a mom and being able to be home. It has been so fun to watch sweet little Emrey grow and change even in these first few weeks. Her face is starting to fill out (looking more like a Hollo) but her eyes remain beautifully blue.

I'm 3 Weeks old!

This Tuesday, Emrey turned three weeks old. Here are some of the highlights from her week....We are pretty sure she had her first few "social smiles" and is growing increasingly social by the day, focusing in on what she can see and tracking mom's fingers. Dad gave Emrey her first bottle at night, so mom could sleep a little more. After some strange facial expressions, she seemed to take it okay. Emrey made it to the post office and survived a close call with the stroller and Bailey...She also met our entire small group, who came to our house when we couldn't make it out on Sunday. She continues to eat and sleep really well, although she definitely appears to be a night owl...and starts to come alive around 10 or 11 each night! Owh, and she also had her first bath, as her cord finally fell out! She screamed for the first few minutes and then appeared to settle in and enjoy it. She especially loved being cuddled in the towel afterward.
